Quamby Homestead Weddings
Quamby Homestead, its historic botanical gardens and 70 acre rural property provide the perfect setting for your country wedding. The Homestead, surrounded by a 3 acre historic botanical garden designed by William Guilfoyle, former Director of the Melbourne Botanical Gardens, is a living example of the splendour and grandeur of the Victorian era. Hold your ceremony and/or reception here, and even stay overnight before or after your wedding - whatever the choice you can be assured you will find the perfect location for your ceremony.
Garden Ceremony
Take your wedding vows under majestic, historic trees on manicured lawns with your guests looking on from the garden. With our ceremony-only package you may choose your exact location and arrangement for both the ceremony and your photographs; guests may be seated or standing, you may have drinks for you and your guests before or after the ceremony, or you may choose any number of rural settings for your photographs.
Garden Reception
After your garden ceremony and photographs you can then move onto your reception in a marquee set up on Quamby's Croquet Lawn. Have drinks on the lawn or in the marquee, either way you and your guests can celebrate your special day in garden surrounds. We can recommend some fine western district caterers, all depending on your own personal tastes and requirements.
Your Wedding Night
With our beautifully restored 4 star guest accommodation you and up to 14 other guests can stay at Quamby Homestead after your wedding reception. You may also wish to stay the night before your wedding to have a leisurely and elegant start to your very special day. If you have friends and family visiting from further afield they may like to take a longer break and stay for a long weekend. We have a number of accommodation offers for weddings - from our classic School House for the Bride and Groom, our Queen and Twin Mews Rooms to our larger Carriage House for a family, all historical buildings with a story to tell.
